This spring saw REY Europe’s first ever collaboration with BSix College in Hackney. After months of planning we were delighted to send a group of 16 of their Health & Social Care learners to Portugal for 2-week Erasmus+ placements, along with two tutors from the college.
Students undertook placements at Care Homes for elderly people as well as childcare facilities and were matched to placements based on their course specialism along with future career interests. As well as gaining valuable work experience, students were also given the chance to explore Portuguese life through their interactions with the locals and through day trips organised by their hosts, Euromob.
One student commented; “Professionally, working in an international placement has helped me gain more knowledge and skills about my future career. Personally, I have been able to improve on my communication skill and boost my
confidence.”
