Off to Spain..

Earlier today, we delivered pre-departure training for Travel & Tourism students from Bath College and South Gloucestershire & Stroud (SGS) College. It was great to see the energy and enthusiasm amongst the group as they prepare for their placements in Seville, which start next week.

For Bath College student, Tom Humphreys, it will be his first time in Spain.

“I’m looking forward to learning about some of the culture and how the Spanish do things differently to us.”

Kate Hobbs, Deputy Head of Department for Sport, Business & Health at Bath College, will be joining the group for their first week

“This is a vocational course and it’s important to provide the students with opportunities to gain practical experience.

It’s a hugely beneficial opportunity for them to learn about what it’s like to live and work in a different culture, as well as develop key employability skills that will support their progression when they finish college.”

Nicola Smart, SGS Level 3 Course Team Leader, who will also be joining her students,  comments: “I’m so excited for our students. They will experience so much on this trip and learn things that cannot be taught in a classroom.”
