Marcus attended the PEARL Transnational Cooperation Activity in Birmingham last week, and delivered a workshop on behalf of REY Europe. Here is his account of the event..
We were invited to deliver a workshop at the PEARL (Pathways to Enhanced Assessment and Recognition for those achieving Learning beyond national borders) TCA, to demonstrate ways in which our learners are able to utilise the ECVET methodology to achieve credit bearing learning during an overseas work based mobility placement.
The event had almost 100 delegates from 28 member states with a variety of knowledge and expertise in the field of international VET. Key areas of discussion considered longer duration mobilities and apprenticeships as well as ways in which curricula can be standardised across countries. With a range of organisations represented, there was plenty of interesting discussion, with a focus on how we can foster greater convergence amongst all stakeholders involved VET across Europe.
