The placement was an excellent opportunity to broaden my horizons in aspects of what I want to do post college.
The placement
My job title was special events management. I worked directly with a client on organizing a charity golf day. My broad knowledge of golf helped me massively.
I had to find volunteers for the event through the companies that had already entered. I met with the events board for the company I was working with and presented my ideas which were taken on board and used on the day.
I sorted out the scoring system on the day for the tournament as well as being the lead volunteer on the day.
The location
The bustling nature of a big city centre but then being able to see the mountains at all points was an unreal feeling.
The impact
The biggest learning experience was being organized and being on time. Also having the correct information is greatly appreciated.
Next, I plan to join the RAF. Brace yourself!
