The placement
I worked in the PR department of a company in Prague. My main role was working with excel sheets and collating information. One evening we had an event and we had the role of registering everyone and taking pictures of the event.
Working abroad
Spending time in the real life working world has given me an understanding of how people are faced with deadlines and situations in a working environment.
Working abroad has allowed me to work in a real life working environment and I have learnt vital life skills such as living on my own, managing a budget and being able to survive for the time I spent there.
The impact
This experience has taught me how to work as a team to get things done for a tight deadline and how to present myself in a professional manner towards employers and people around me in a working place.
I have gained more confidence within myself as it made me do things I didn’t want to do such as communicate with people who didn’t speak English.
