The placement

My placement was in a buying and selling Company, as an assistant to the Head of Business Development and Special Events.

I had the opportunity to attend a meeting outside the office, and saw products that the Chinese were considering to sell in the Czech Market. I gained the experience of writing up proposals, on companies and their products that my host organisation might be interested in working with. 

The location

During my time in Prague, I was able to gain amazing and wonderful experiences while living in a beautiful and dynamic country.

The learning

I have always been interested in starting my own company, but after working at my host organisation, I see how stressful and disorganized it can be. I have realized I may want to work for a bigger corporation, where I can obtain more training and have specific tasks.

Overall, I am grateful to observe how a start-up company works and to enhance my communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

This placement has helped me to be able to work well in a team and communicate better with other people. These were thing I was not strong at doing before. I had the opportunity to see how a start-up business operates while working in a different country.
