“My biggest achievement in Seville was definitely being awarded 'Man of the Match' against Calavera C.F. I tried my hardest in the football match against incredibly talented individuals.”
The motivation
This was a massive opportunity for me to play and adapt to a different style of football. I was encouraged by my peers at college as well as my lecturers. They said this would benefit me, as it would also help me become more independent with simple life skills such as saving money.
The placement
Our daily schedule was to wake up early, we would then get our bus to Calavera C.F. (Club de Futbol). We would then arrive and train. After that we would often do activities such as bike tours.
The location
The city itself is beautiful, and the people and the architecture there is amazing, as well as the food. On weekends we also did a lot of activities, for example doing local history tours, which were fun and educational.

The impact
My biggest learning experience was the Spanish lessons. This was a fairly new language for me to learn but was beneficial because in order to get around Seville you had to speak the national language.
My biggest achievement in Seville was definitely being awarded ‘Man of
the Match’ against Calavera C.F. I tried my hardest in the football match against incredibly talented individuals.
The placement gave me an expanded understanding of high-level football, and I want to work in that type of area. My next step is to do Level 3 Sports at Wiltshire college and the move onto the Health and Development course.
