Routes2Success

Throughout October our CEO, Marcus Miller was involved in the delivery of a series of workshops for young men in HMP Thameside, HMP Ranby as well as to teenagers in Cotham School, Bristol.  The workshops were set up for Black History Month, as part of the Big Lottery and Monument Trust funded Routes2Success (R2S) role model programme. R2S targets 11 – 25 year olds from BAME backgrounds and aims to raise aspirations amongst participants in order to increase their educational and employment outcomes. Marcus volunteers as a role model for the programme. Topics for the workshops ranged from entrepreneurship to an art project which examined the earliest depictions of black people within Britain. They inspired some thought provoking debates, as well as defining several positive targets for the participants to work towards.
