Marcus is the Director and Founder of RiSE International (formerly REY Europe). As well as having oversight of all aspects of the organisations’ delivery, Marcus is responsible for driving the organisations’ evolution and new directions of work.

He is a successful and visionary leader, mentor and social entrepreneur, and is motivated to develop new opportunities and areas of work to ensure we have maximum social impact.

Since the inception of RiSE International in 2009, Marcus has secured over €4,000,000 of funding to support employment training and internship opportunities, and has developed a consultancy service to assist organisations with accessing funding for project delivery. Marcus is currently scoping new partnership opportunities with a range of stakeholders in Africa and the Carribbean, and has appointed a team to develop a bespoke capacity building framework for grassroots organisations in several global regions.

Prior to setting up his own business, Marcus was a principal consultant at Renaisi and supported long-term unemployed individuals to access employment in Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth.

Marcus holds a BA (Hons) Philosophy from the University of Sussex and a Level 3 Information, Advice & Guidance qualification.
