Our first placements in St Lucia
In preparation for our first placements in St Lucia, Sarah Hitchcock visited the Caribbean island to meet our partner and check out the placements.
Sports coaching placements will be hosted in local schools and grassroots sports organisations.
“I had the opportunity to see current coaches in action in range of sports facilities across the island, including football, cricket, netball and open water swimming.”
Students will stay close to Rodney Bay, in private accommodation, 5 mins walk away from a beautiful beach.

“I met with Joel Martin, Director of local partner ‘United Through Sport’, a charity that runs programmes geared towards mass youth participation in Sport.
Joel and his team couldn’t have been more hospitable, and it was an action packed few days exploring the beautiful island and seeing the exciting programmes in action.”
“Each day ended with a group debrief, to reflect on coaching approaches and how sessions could be improved, and all the participants I met spoke so positively about their time on placement.”
