On the 28 July 2016, we welcomed a group of young people from the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs from Taiwan to REY Europe’s office in Central London. The group were here as part of a programme to introduce young people (aged 18-30) to social enterprise in the UK.
We gave the group a presentation about REY’s work, and the work and history of social enterprises more generally. Marcus Miller gave a personal account of how and why he founded REY Europe and reflected on the personal qualities needed to succeed as an entrepreneur. We asked the group to develop some initial ideas for a social enterprise and start mapping some of the stakeholders that they would need to engage. The group devised some really exciting and innovative ideas, which we enjoyed hearing about.
It was lovely to meet such an enthusiastic and engaged group, and we wish them the best for their remaining time in the UK and in taking forward their ideas in the future.
